Hi Kimberley,
Happy New Year from the land of tim-tams! It is also the land of beautiful weather at the moment, although it may be hotter today. We have been having fine, sunny, warm days. Do you have snow?
As to writing and speaking, I guess they are very similar in lots of ways, especially in regards to holding and keeping an audience and making a good impression on them. All sorts of techniques would be the same, like structure of the presentation, the type of lanugage used, senctence structure etc etc. I'm not sure about eye contact which is great for sincerity (not to mention getting feedback)!! What do you write?
